As a collaborative effort between UC’s College of Medicine Office of Research and the Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST), we have developed the R Club Grant Program to assist early career/junior investigators in the preparation of their first R01 proposal.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the R Club Grant Program, applicants must have a full-time junior faculty appointment and be a member of UC’s College of Medicine and/or the CCTST. Applicants must be preparing an original or re-submission application that could ultimately lead to the funding of their first R01 proposal. Members of underrepresented racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups, and candidates with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

CCTST Membership: All participants of the R Club Grant Program must be CCTST members. CCTST membership is free and open to all. For online membership registration, go to https://cctst.uc.edu/user/register.

Letter of Support: Due to the time commitment of our grant writer to provide select candidates with intensive proposal mentoring (with unlimited editing iterations within the time limitations), a letter of support from the applicant’s Department/Division Head/Chair is required to ensure commitment of the applicant to the R Club Program for the duration.

For the October 2022 NIH deadline, the R Club Grant Program will start early August 2022. For the 2023 (February, June, and October) NIH deadlines, the R Club Program will start November 2022, March 2023, and July 2023, respectively.
