Contest Rules:

  • Students, Staff, Trainees, Faculty and Deans may participate.
  • Participants must register below by September 14, 2022
  • Participants may register as an individual or a group.
  • Entries must contain 100% recycled, recovered or found content from your research lab with the exception of paints, dyes, adhesives, canvas and mounting hardware.
  • Entries may contain any clean, non-biohazardous, non-radioactive, recycled material as art medium, with the exception of food matter or living organisms (Pictures of bacteria, fungus, etc. are OK).
  • Entry dimension may be no larger than 72” high x 36” wide x 24” deep and must be ready to display by wall mount, plinth, free standing – etc.
  • Entries must credit the original artist in the case of a reproduction (e.g. Edvard Munch, The Scream).
  • Entries must be delivered to the Dean’s Suite no later than October 3, 2022 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
  • Contest awards reception will be announced at the Research Recognition Ceremony
  • At the completion of the contest, winning entries will be displayed in the CARE Atrium until October 19th. After that date, artists may reclaim their art.
