Evaluate presentations at UC's Undergraduate Scholarly Showcase & recruit talent. At this one-day event, hundreds of students from across the university present research and scholarly work to multidisciplinary audiences in the form of poster and podium presentations.

Your role: network with students and evaluate presentations. We introduce you to three students by assigning you three presentations to evaluate. Beyond that, you will have ample time to interact with presenters at your leisure, as in a "reverse career fair". You may also agree to allow students to find you during a networking lunch.

No cost & no experience necessary. Training, refreshments, lunch, & parking will be provided.

Wonderful! Employers will have an assigned table in one of the podium presentation classrooms where students may join them for lunch. Students will be encouraged to visit multiple employers over the lunch period. Please bring extra business cards (~20) and a folder with a company identifier for collecting resumes.

Podium & Piano: Piano majors integrate historical context and performance.

Capstone Competition: 3-minute talks with Q&A and cash awards. Requires a panel of 6 judges representing diverse disciplines/professions. After the last talk, judges select winners. Therefore, judges stay for the full 2-hour session (includes intermission; process facilitated by an emcee).

We use a paperless judging system. The process involves using a QR Code reader on your phone or tablet to access an on-line form where you enter scores/comments directly.

Are you comfortable using your phone/tablet to evaluate projects? If not, it's ok. We will have paper evaluations on hand. We ask this to give us a sense of how many to bring.
